Joshua James Johnson is a Rapid City, SD based banjo player, multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter, with influences in the folk, country, bluegrass, alternative, and musical theatre stylings. 

Born and raised in southern Louisiana, JJJ spent his youth listening to the folk and bluegrass revival of the early 2000s and in his 20s playing in rock bands and creating electronic music, later training and participating in musical theatre. After moving to Iowa in joined the bluegrass bands The High Water Mark and,  later, Sneezy Dollars. 

Armed with a banjo and a myriad of novel folk instruments including  ukuleles, harmonicas, tin whistles, and folk percussion JJJ is looking to create earnest tunes that don't take themselves too seriously.
